   10\11\2014    Observation Task 3

    The Learning Environment

In this pictures we can see children working in the centers .

1. Math \ science: There are chips, blocks, animals and pictures that they can name it and count it.
2.  Reading: there are stories and number books that students try to read stories.
3.  Writing \ art: there are colors and pictures which students can draw and color picture of letters and numbers, Also there are small white boards and markers which students can write numbers and draw.
4. Sensory: students learn and discover letters and numbers by touch and play with sand and water.

In this pictures we can see how materials stored.

The materials that children use its stored in the enrollment and shelves and the materials which teacher use its stored in the lockers to keep it away from children. Teacher’s table is next to the white board and her papers and materials in the locker. There are areas that encourage independent learning such as math and science center which children can count the animals and blocks, also they can write numbers on the small white boards in the writing center.

I observed during center time each student choose which center they like to work in it and after they finish their work they clean up the place. I learn that centers help children to learn and encourage independent learning. The classroom design was good and its easy to find materials. Children in this age like colors and pictures so they put colors ,numbers and pictures in the classroom which help children to learn.
